What to Expect on the Day
Upon arrival, patients are welcomed by our friendly receptionist and guided through a thorough consultation with Dr Selvarajan. This is an opportunity to ask questions, understand the procedure in full, and ensure you are comfortable and confident in your decision. We offer an oral sedation medication to help you relax prior to the procedure at no extra cost. Patients can not drive home if they had oral sedation. If the procedure was performed without oral sedation, patients may choose to drive home. However, we highly recommend that you have someone to drive you home after the procedure. The vasectomy procedure may take approximately 15 - 20 minutes and is performed under local anaesthesia.
Aftercare and Support
Before leaving, you’ll receive comprehensive aftercare instructions along with a sample kit and guidance on when and how to complete the required semen analysis to confirm the success of the procedure. - Your consultation you will be with Dr. Raj and you will be given full information about pre and post procedures and you will have plenty of time to ask any additional questions you may have
- The procedure is done under a local anaesthetic. In addition, you will also be offered a pre-operative medication to relax and to reduce any anxiety that you may experience.

- The Sunshine Coast University parking is close to the clinic location. Please note that there is no parking for patients in the Pulse Specialist Centre building itself and we apologise for the inconvenience.
- We welcome you to bring your partner to the consultation. Following the procedure, your partner or designated driver can pick you up to return home.
