The no-scalpel technique used does not involve the use of scalpels, stitches, or clips, and is performed under local anaesthesia.
Appointments and options:
Our North Lakes vasectomy clinic offers only weekend Saturday morning appointments. If you require specific dates that suit you and you would like to consider coming to our Burpengary East Clinic, please visit the booking page to check availability at other locations.
For patient convenience, we offer a one-visit model where, if clinically appropriate, both the consultation and vasectomy procedure may be performed on the same day. All relevant information and consent documents are provided to patients in advance via email upon booking. This allows adequate time for review and informed decision-making prior to the procedure.

Medicare rebates are typically processed on the day of the procedure, and patients generally receive their rebate directly into their nominated bank account linked with Medicare. What to Expect on the Day
Upon arrival, patients are welcomed by our friendly receptionist and guided through a thorough consultation. This is an opportunity to ask questions, understand the procedure and aftercare so that you are making an informed decision. We may offer an oral sedation medication to help you relax prior to the procedure at no extra cost. Patients can not drive home if they have had oral sedation. If the procedure was performed without oral sedation, patients may choose to drive home. However, we highly recommend that you have someone to drive you home after the procedure. The vasectomy procedure may take approximately 15 - 20 minutes and is performed under local anaesthesia.
Aftercare and Support
Before leaving, you’ll receive comprehensive aftercare instructions along with a sample kit and guidance on when and how to complete the required semen analysis to confirm the success of the procedure.
