    Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a no scalpel vasectomy cost?

Medicare rebates cover a significant portion of the procedure cost. Total out-of-pocket expenses may vary depending on the clinic location and whether private health insurance is applicable at that site.

For accurate and up-to-date pricing, we recommend checking the fee details listed under each clinic location or contacting us directly for a personalised quote.

Private health insurance may provide a rebate for vasectomy procedures performed in accredited day hospital settings, depending on your policy.

Many patients choose to have their procedure at one of our medical centre-based clinics, which offer fixed-fee options without private hospital charges.

Many patients are able to return to light duties within 1 to 2 days following the procedure. If your work involves heavy lifting or strenuous activity, a longer recovery period may be recommended. Your doctor will provide individualised advice based on your occupation and recovery needs.

Eligible patients may receive Medicare rebates for the procedure. Our team can assist you in understanding which rebates may apply based on your individual circumstances.

All vasectomy procedures are performed under local anaesthesia.

For patients who feel anxious, oral sedation may be offered as an optional addition at no extra cost, provided it is clinically appropriate.

Please note that general anaesthesia is not offered at our clinics, as it requires specialist anaesthetic services.

A semen analysis is usually recommended around 16 weeks after the procedure to confirm whether the vasectomy has been successful.
