With over 18 years of experience and more than 10,000 vasectomies performed, he is widely regarded as one of Australia’s foremost experts in scalpel-free vasectomy. Dr. Raj utilises advanced techniques, including the hyfrecator device, to create precise entry points with minimal tissue disruption—enhancing patient comfort and supporting faster recovery.
Dr. Raj Selvarajan trained with world-renowned specialists in scalpel-free vasectomy and brings extensive international experience to his practice. Before relocating to Australia, he established multiple successful clinics in the UK. In 2014, he introduced the scalpel-free vasectomy technique to Australia, founding the country’s first dedicated clinic in Mackay. Since then, his network of clinics has expanded across Australia, offering safe, effective, and minimally invasive vasectomy procedures.
Holding qualifications like MBBS, MRCS (Edinburgh), MRCGP (UK), FRACGP (Australia), and a Master of Medicine from the University of Queensland, Dr. Raj combines skill with innovation. He also shares his knowledge as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and as the Course Director for Clinical Procedures at HealthCert. Our procedures are done under local anaesthesia.
However, we do offer oral sedation as an option at no extra cost. General Anaesthesia requires hospital admission and we do not offer general anaesthesia option.
